DT1451 is a 512 x 512 x 8-bit frame grabber for realtime digital imageprocessing on VMEbus systems. The board digitizes a video signal, storesan image in one of two onboard memory buffers, and displays the image inRGB false color or monochrome at a rate of 30 image frames per second.In addition, an onboard arithmetic logic unit (ALU) and a proprietary LUTprocessor allow 512 x 512 x 8-bit image frames to be processed at arealtime rate of 30 image frames per second. Nearly 50 standard,multipurpose ALU arithmetic operations are provided, including and/orand or logic functions. Operating with the onboard ALU, the LUTprocessor frame averaging, frame addition and subtraction, andmultiplication and division by a constant possible. For higher-levelimage processing, such as N x M convolutions with 16-bit/pixel internalaccuracy, the DT1451 frame grabber interfaces through high-speed externalI/O ports to the DT1458 Auxiliary Frame Processor.Tutorial software is provided as standard. A subroutine library is alsoavailable as an option.
